On October 11, No. 2 Industrial and Urban Development JSC (D2D) held a ceremony to mark the 25th anniversary. Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai attended and on behalf of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded Certificate of Merit and painting to D2D.
In 1992, D2D was established with a capital of just over a half of billion VND. After 25-year, currently, D2D’s total assets have reached nearly VND 1.300 billion and achieved success in a number of fields for example industrial zones, residential areas, transportation infrastructure, markets, high-class apartments, etc. On a constructed solid ground along with a team of experienced and dedicated employees, D2D is heading to a breakthrough stage, developing both in scales and contributions to localities and communities.
25 years of solid development
In the first decade, D2D operated in construction field with a belief in the potential of contruction market in Dong Nai province. Starting from small-scale projects in remote districts for instance Dinh Quan, Tan Phu, Xuan Loc, etc. D2D gradually conquered the construction market with the prestige and quality of works. Then, D2D was chosen as the contractor to execute plenty of big projects in Bien Hoa city and industrial zones. It could be said that the capital accumulation and growth of D2D was the first successful step in this period. Especially, the valuable experience in the market and accurate identification of the industrial and civil real estate potential in Dong Nai helped D2D to build a long-term development strategy.
In the past 15 years, D2D turned to real estate with the goal of creating added value for society, customers, investors and employees. From many projects in the beginning phase such as Nhon Trach 2 Industrial Park, Road 5 and the extended Road 5 Residential Area, to joint venture projects, Ambercourt or recent noticeable projects for example Long Thanh Market Quater and New Market, Thong Nhat Ward residential area (phase 1), D2D always left a lasting impression and its brand value therefore increased significantly after the success of each project.
By investing in industrial zones, urban areas, residential areas, traditional markets in a manner of modern design, high quality infrastructure, beautiful architecture and fulfilling market demands, D2D is considered as a company contributing positively and effectively to the development of construction industry, real estate in particular, and local socio-economic development in general. Especially D2D has contributed to changing the urban appearance and image of the Bien Hoa city, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts, etc. as well as effectively strengthened industrial zone infrastructure development, attracted investment, increased import and export revenue. The Company also helped to create jobs for hundreds of thousands of laborers in Dong Nai province through contractors, investors, trade – services companies in a direct or indirect manner.
Reportedly, with a focus-based investment strategy and the determination to rely more on the company’s own resources and less on bank loans, D2D enjoys a stable and long-term revenue from plenty of projects as well as gaining financial interdependence to seize new opportunities and reinvest in new feasible projects. In the period from now to 2020, in addition to revenue from Nhon Trach Industrial Zone, Long Thanh New Market, D2D plans to get significant revenue from Thong Nhat Ward Residential Area (Bien Hoa), Loc An Residential Area (Long Thanh District) with a total investment of about VND 1200 billion.
New journey – New goal

After 25 years, D2D is likely aiming to grow further and contribute more values with a series of new projects, is it right sir?
With 6 successful projects and certain contributions to the local socio-economic development, we believed that D2D accomplished its mission in the first phase. In the forthcoming time, with accumulated resources, D2D desires to promote the brand value and contribute more effectively to the development of the community and locality. Specifically, D2D will invest in transport infrastructure projects to contribute to the Bien Hoa urban renewal, improve the quality of life for people and expand the aspect of D2D’s contribution to socio-economic development of Dong Nai province.
D2D started this direction since 2016 with the capital contribution to implementing BOT project on National Highway 91, extended Road 319 and intersection of road 319 with Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway. After that, D2D decided to expand its investment with two significant projects namely Renewal of Thong Nhat Ward Residential Area and Bien Hoa City’s Center, Construction of Thong Nhat Bridge and Road connecting to An Hao Bridge. Most of them are material and urgent infrastructure projects in Dong Nai province, D2D will focus resources to deploy and complete these projects in the earliest time.
With such big projects, it can be said that this will be an ambitious journey of D2D in the future. Could you please share the development strategy as well as the message of D2D in the coming time?
D2D is able to become a trusted and supported brand as today thanks to the persistence with core competencies and reasonable investment strategies; not running after speedy successes but persevering with steady and solid steps forward. We will preserve that philosophy and promote the constructed foundation in the coming steps as a way to show our respect and responsibility for each cash of the State and shareholders. That also expresses how we respect our brand, the dedication of all generations of our management and employees
In addition, the effort to increase value for D2D is still based on the principle of consistent investment throughout the past process. That is no separation between profit and social goals, assuring the living of employees, benefits of shareholders and customers as well as the common development of the community. In which, we pay special attention to investment activities aiming to address problems in the community, bring more added value to the community, for example, through a number of the transport infrastructure projects under execution by D2D. With the direction associated with social responsibility, we believe that the localities, customers and shareholders will increase trust and support D2D. This support is a social capital source and a prestigious asset for the Company to succeed in the current competition of value and capacity to serve society.
