Dong Nai Water Supply Joint Stock Company (Dowaco) has just announced its discounts and waivers on water bills in the province to share and reduce difficulties caused by the COVID-19 to water users.

Accordingly, its fee waivers will be applied to concentrated quarantine areas, used for COVID-19 prevention purposes (including accommodation facilities established by competent authorities). Dowaco also reduced 10% of water bills for those who are poor households and near-poor households in Dong Nai province. Such waivers and discounts apply for April, May and June 2020.

Dowaco offers discounts and waivers to water users to share difficulties with its customers

Earlier, Dowaco had a meeting with relevant departments on this issue and received the approval of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee at Official Letter No. 4914/UBND-KTNS dated April 29, 2020 on discounts and waivers on water bills charged to local users as guided by the Prime Minister at Official Letter No. 2725/VPCP-KTH dated April 8, 2020.

According to Dong Nai Water Supply Joint Stock Company: Recently, Dowaco’s activities have also been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, it has decided to offer discounts and waivers on water bills as part of its social responsibility and to better support customers to overcome challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
