The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, the Central Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation and the Central Committee of Association of Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs just celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam Gold Star Award and held the 2018 Vietnam Gold Star Awards Ceremony in Hanoi on December 23. In the awarding ceremony, two subsidiaries of Sonadezi Corporation, which were Industrial and Urban Development JSC No.2 (D2D) and Sonadezi Long Binh JSC (SZB), were awarded TOP 100 Vietnam Gold Star Award 2018.

There were more than 400 companies applying to the Vietnam Gold Star Award 2018, after three rounds of review, the Voting Council selected 200 brands that have remarkable performances in international economic integration and awarded TOP 200, TOP 100 and TOP 10 prizes. The award-winning brands make great contributions to the economic development of the country with total revenue of more than VND 912,000 billion, state budget contribution of more than VND 72.000 billion and staff of over 417,000 employees.

During the voting procedure, D2D and SZB were highly appreciated by the Voting Council for the development of the scale, performance, and responsibility to employees, the community and society.

Established in 2009, initially operated as an industrial zone service company, SZB now becomes one of the leading companies in the industrial zone infrastructure business in Dong Nai. SZB had 04 industrial zones with a total area of 868 hectares that attracts nearly 200 investment projects from more than 20 countries with a total investment capital of USD 3.135 billion. SZB’s Bien Hoa 2, Go Dau, Xuan Loc and Thanh Phu Industrial Zones are home to numerous projects of famous brands, for example, Nestle, Hisamitsu, Mabuchi, Aqua, Cargill, Meggit, Truong Hai Cars, etc. Besides, industrial zones construction creates jobs for more than 140 thousand people and increases Dong Nai provincial revenue.

In the process of developing industrial zones, SZB ensures environmental protection would be it main focus with a total investment in centralized wastewater treatment plants in industrial zones of about VND 114 billion. SZB is also a leader when it comes to coordinating with investors in the industrial zones to take care of employee’s well-being. For example, SZB invested in 2.4-hectares Dona Standard Kindergarten projects placed in Xuan Loc Industrial Zone with a total cost of USD 3 million. The school teaches more than 1,000 children of employees working at Dona Standard Company, thereby helping employees feel secure to work and stay with the company. With the aim of reaching international standards in corporate management and administration, SZB is the first company in industrial zones infrastructure business to achieve PAS 99 Integrated Management System Certification (including ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001: 2007 Occupational Health and Safety).
