The Party Committee of the Sonadezi Industrial Park Development Corporation held the 3rd Party Congress for the term 2020 – 2025 on May 28 and 29.

Participants of the Congress included Mr. Huynh Van Hong – Member of Standing Committee, Head of Commission for Mass Mobilization, Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Tuan Anh – Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Nai Business Bloc.

For the term 2015-2020, with a strong determination and efforts for: “economic development as a focus and Party building as the key task”, Sonadezi’s Party Committee has taken a leading role in completing and exceeding many targets.

Regarding its business performance from 2015 to 2019, Sonadezi generated over VND 20,823 billion in total revenue, or 116.80% higher than budgeted on average, and over VND 3,557 billion in profit after tax, averaging 134.93% of its plan while its tax payable was more than VND 2,850 billion, averaging 191.89% of its plan and its employee monthly income increased from VND 7.5 million to VND 11.9 million, or 58% higher compared to the beginning of the term.

During this period, Sonadezi’s Party Committee led the delivery of social and community work with a total amount of nearly VND 49 billion, plus humanitarian donation of thousands of blood units.

Also, the Sonadezi’s Party Committee focused on its equitization, restructuring, and business rearrangement as guided by the Provincial People’s Committee. Specifically, the parent company – Sonadezi completed its equitization process and officially managed its business as a joint-stock company from February 1, 2016, with the charter capital of VND 3,765 billion and the State ownership ratio of 99.54%.

With its strong performance, the Sonadezi’s Party Committee was rated by the Party Committee of Dong Nai Business Bloc as an immaculate and strong grassroots body for many consecutive years and received the certificate of merit by the Provincial Party Committee of Dong Nai province for building an immaculate and strong grassroots body for 5 consecutive years (2012-2016).

Sonadezi’s Party Committee now has 18 affiliated party subcommittees (03 under its departments and 15 under its subsidiaries) with 903 party members, including 236 female members and 73 reserve members. In the past 5 years, 33 members of the Party Committee also received the 30- and 40-year Party membership badges.

Addressing at the congress, Mr. Le Tuan Anh – Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Nai Business Bloc congratulated and praised the performance of the Sonadezi’s Party Committee between 2015 and 2020.

Mr. Le Tuan Anh requested that, for the next term, it should build strategic development directions closely in line with the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Provincial Party Committee while also further working on divestment of state capital from the parent company and divestment of the corporation’s capital from subsidiaries. To step up investment promotion in industrial parks, it should attract suitable investment that targets high-tech industries and prepare solutions to support business recovery and growth in the post-COVID19 period. It should also focus on admitting new party members, promoting emulation movements and elaborating its HR strategies, ensuring an adequate talent pool, especially for management positions in each development period.

The Congress elected the Executive Board of the Sonadezi’s Party Committee for term III (2020 – 2025) with 15 members. Mr. Tran Thanh Hai – Sonadezi’s BOD Member and Deputy CEO was elected the Party Secretary for the term 2020-2025; Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang – Sonadezi’s BOD Chairwoman and Mr. Cao Minh Trung – Deputy General Director of Sonadezi An Binh Joint Stock Company were elected as the Vice Secretaries.
