On December 14, 2018, Sonadezi Corporation held the 2018 sports festival to celebrate the 28th anniversary of Sonadezi (December 15, 1990 – December 15, 2018). The sport festival welcomed the presence of Mr. Phan Dinh Tham – Secretary of the Party Committee, CEO of Sonadezi Corporation, Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh – Deputy CEO, President of Trade Union, board members and employees of Sonadezi Corporation and its subsidiaries.
Sonadezi Corporation’s 2018 sports festival took place at Sonadezi College of Technology and Management, in which nearly 800 athletes who are union members and employees in the Corporation participate in fell running and tug of war.
There were more than 600 athletes that participated in fell running. Fellrunning comprised a variety of events for men and women, each representing a different age and race distance group. In particular, the race distance for male athletes under 30 years old, between 30 – 40 years old and over 40 years old is 2.0km, 1.5km, and 1.0km, respectively. About female athletes, they were divided into the same three age group and competed over a distance of 1.5km, 1.0km, and 0.5km, respectively.
Regarding racewalking, male athletes of 51 – 60 years old and female athletes of 51 – 55 years old would walk with a distance of 0.5km. Regarding tug of war, there were 14 teams (each team had 5 men and 5 women) and 2 knockout stages.
After hours of competition with enthusiastic support from cheering spectators and solidarity among athletes, athletes and teams all finished their events.
The organizers awarded 51 prizes (according to the distances) to the athletes participating in the fell running, including 06 first prizes, 06 second prizes, 06 third prizes, and 30 consolation prizes. There was also 01 prize for the companies who had most athletes, 01 prize for the oldest male athlete and 01 prize for the oldest female athlete.
In the tug of war event, the teams from Sonadezi Corporation’s subsidiaries achieved the following rank: Dong Nai Water Supply JSC was ranked 1st, D2D’s Trade Union 2nd, Dong Nai Construction Investment and Materials Production JSC’s Trade Union 3rd, and Sonadezi Giang Dien JSC’s Trade Union 4th.
The Sonadezi Sports Festival is an annual activity that aims to celebrate Sonadezi Corporation’s anniversary and serve as a part of workplace health promotion. The Sports Festival is also an opportunity for the Corporation’s subsidiaries to expand their network, thereby strengthening their solidarity and cultivating a happy workplace for all Corporation’s employees. Sonadezi Sports Festival is also a token of the Corporation’s gratitude to the employees for their dedication and contribution to the development of the Corporation.
