Since 1994, much efforts were in engaging investors looking for land rental, by marketing services that Sonadezi could provide to customers such as design, construction and construction of industrial and civil works; water supply, telecommunications services or investment consulting. The design and construction of works inside and outside the Company’s industrial park were then carried out by the Industrial Construction Enterprise.
On April 22, 1994, the Civic Garment Co., Ltd (now renamed Texma Vina Co., Ltd.) was granted an investment license to operate on a land area of 2.1 ha in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park. The negotiations on its factory construction were conducted by the investor, the leaders of the Industrial Construction Enterprise and other technical teams, with strong support of the Company’s Investment Consulting Department. As a result, Sonadezi’s Industrial Construction Enterprise signed a design and construction contract for this project. Not its first design and construction contract, yet, it was its first USD 1 million contract to be awarded, which was a very large one at the time.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the end of 1994, with many domestic and foreign guests, representatives of Dong Nai provincial departments and Sonadezi leaders attending. A large wooden pole painted in red with gold inscriptions commemorating the groundbreaking ceremony was erected on the site, at the sand shoveling ceremony area. Following the groundbreaking ceremony according to Asian traditions, the construction teams immediately began the project.
After 6 months of urgent construction with strict quality supervision, the factory of Civic Garment Co., Ltd. was completed and handed over on time to the investor. Since its launch, Civic has created more than 1,000 jobs in Dong Nai province and is one of the companies with large export turnover in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park.
Provision of factory design and construction services to Civic Garment Co., Ltd. is a proud milestone to all employees of the Industrial Construction Enterprise (later renamed the Sonacons Company under Sonadezi).
