On November 27, Sonadezi hosted the Sonadezi Sports Fest 2020. This is one of the activities to celebrate Sonadezi’s 30th anniversary (December 15, 1990 – December 15, 2020). Leaders of Sonadezi and its subsidiaries attended and cheered all participating members.

630 athletes representing nearly 3,800 Sonadezi employees based in Dong Nai, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Lam Dong gathered in the biggest fest in 2020 – Sports fest to celebrate Sonadezi’s 30th anniversary.

Mr. Phan Dinh Tham – Sonadezi’s CEO delivered the opening remarks

Opening the sports fest, Mr. Phan Dinh Tham – Sonadezi’s CEO shared that: “First of all, on behalf of Sonadezi’s Management, I warmly welcome and speak highly of active participation of employees in the Corporation. With a large number of athletes participating in the Sports Fest today, you have demonstrated your sportsmanship, heading towards Sonadezi’s 30th anniversary . I hope that all Sonadezi employees always try their best, promoting team work both in sports and at work. I do hope you will all bring your best to the fest today and receive rewards individually or for your team. I hope the referee team will work fairly and responsibly to make this sports fest a success”.

The sports fest is an activity held annually by Sonadezi for stronger team cohesion and exchange between subsidiaries. It aims to improve sportsmanship, exercising habit and mental health of all employees in the Corporation. The Sonadezi Sports Fest 2020 also aims to become a special sporting event, reflecting its motto of “Work hard, play hard” – as part of Sonadezi’s culture in the past three decades.

Attending the Sports Fest, each athlete and team overall demonstrated their determination to deliver high achievements as a way to celebrate the Corporation’s 30th anniversary and record valuable memories for themselves and their teams in this special event.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai – Sonadezi’s Party Secretary and Deputy CEO presented prizes to relay race winners

Specifically, in the relay race, the Sonadezi Giang Dien Joint Stock Company team won the first prize, with the Sonadezi Long Thanh Joint Stock Company and the Dong Nai Port Joint Stock Company to rank 2nd and 3rd respectively. The Organizing Committee also awarded consolation prizes to the remaining teams.

In the tug of war, the Dong Nai Water Supply Joint Stock Company won the first prize, with Sonadezi Service Joint Stock Company, Dong Nai Port Joint Stock Company and Sonadezi Long Binh Joint Stock Company to rank 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. The remaining teams won consolation prizes.

In the marathon, a total of 60 athletes won prizes, wherein 01 First prize, 01 Second prize, 01 Third prize and 7 Consolation prizes were awarded in each category.

For the 0.5km race over women aged over 40 years old, PDN’s Truong Thi Anh Nguyet won the first prize, with SZA’s Chau Thoai Kim Phuong from and C1C’s Nguyen Thi Hang to finish 2nd and 3rd respectively.

For the 1km run for women aged 30-40, SZA’s Doan Thi Huu won the first prize, followed by SZL’s Nguyen Thi Hue and Dowaco’s Tran Thi Huong to rank 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Mr. Ha Quan Dung – D2D Company’s BOD Chairman and Mr. Tran Ho Dung – Deputy General Director of Sonadezi An Binh Joint Stock Company awarded the prizes to winners of 1 km woman race

For the 1.5km race for women under 30, C1C’s Dang Thi Thuy Dung won the first prize, with SNZ’s Cao Thao Trang and DHC’s Nguyen Thi Thuy to have won the 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Mr. Cao Minh Trung and Mr. Pham Tran Hoa Hiep – Head of Sonadezi’s General Affairs Division presented the prizes to winners of 1.5 km woman race

For the 1km race for men over 40 years old, SZC’s Tran Van Thanh won the first prize, with D2D’s Truong Hoai Thanh and SSS’s Pham Van Thai being ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ms. Pham Thi Hong – Director of Dong Nai Water Supply Joint Stock Company and Ms. Le Thi Giang – Deputy General Director of Dong Nai Materials and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company awarded the prizes to winners of 1 km man race

For the 1.5km race for men aged 30-40, SDV’s Hoang Nhat Nam won the first prize, while DHC’s Nguyen Minh Nhat and C1C’s Ta Trung Kien won the second and third prizes respectively.

For the 2km race for men under 30 years old, Dowaco’s Chu Nam Anh, Le Trung Hieu and Phuong Quoc Hieu won first, second and third prizes respectively.

The organizer also decided to award prizes to the oldest male and female athletes as well as the team having the most athletes participating.

Mr. Cao Minh Trung and Mr. Huynh Tan Loc presented the prizes to the oldest athletes and the team having the most athletes (SDV)

In addition, one award that was not officially awarded should be called the “I love Sonadezi” award to all athletes and those who came to cheered them. Their sweat on the track, exciting and competitive moments in the fest, their body fatigue at the finish line or the joy of winning their race all carry a single message: “I love Sonadezi”.

As noted, the Sonadezi Sports Fest 2020 has been successful in terms of its size, professional organization, active involvement of all athletes and fans, and, above all, emotions left in the hearts of every employee.
