After nearly 1 month of the tournament, on October 28, 2020, at Ngoc Ha Football Stadium (Bien Hoa, Dong Nai), the awards and closing ceremony for the mini football tournament on the occasion of Sonadezi’s 30th anniversary themed “Connect – Meet – Exchange” was held.

The mini football tournament was part of a series of activities to celebrate Sonadezi’s 30th anniversary (December 15, 1990 – December 15, 2020). The tournament attracted 14 teams from Sonadezi’s subsidiaries. After four rounds of competition, including group, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final rounds, with 26 matches, there were 215 goals scored and emotional moments on the pitch. These included bursts of joy of the winning teams and moments of disappointment of the losing teams that could not go through to the final round or could not win the prizes. The teams brought their best to the tournament, with exciting and thrilling games plus good football and beautiful goals.
Closing the tournament, the team representing Dong Nai Water Supply Joint Stock Company (Dowaco) excellently won the Championship after a breathtaking 6m penalty shootout in the final against one representing Sonadezi Service Joint Stock Company (SDV). The number 9 Dinh Ngoc Hoang Tu representing Dowaco won the top scorer award with 20 goals scored in the tournament.
Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang – Sonadezi’s BOD Chairwoman and Mr. Phan Dinh Tham – Sonadezi’s CEO presented the First Prize to Dowaco’s team
The second prize was presented to the team from Sonadezi Service Joint Stock Company (SDV) that impressed spectators with its strong and resilient spirit and sharp counter-attacks.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai – Sonadezi’s Party Secretary and Deputy CEO awarded the second prize to SDV’s team
The Sonadezi Long Binh Joint Stock Company (SZB) team won the third prize and the number 99 Nguyen Van Thuy was given the best goalkeeper award. The team from Dong Nai Port Joint Stock Company (PDN) won the fourth prize and the one representing Dong Nai Construction Joint Stock Company won the Fair play award. Players in these teams showcased excellent individual skills and teamwork, demonstrating fair play and the competitive spirit.

Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thuan – Sonadezi’s Deputy CEO awarded the Fourth Prize to PDN’s team
Mr. Cao Minh Trung – Sonadezi’s Deputy Party Secretary presented the Top Scorer and Best Goalkeeper awards.
Mr. Huynh Tan Loc – Vice Chairman of Sonadezi’s Trade Union presented the Fair Play award to the team representing Dong Nai Construction Joint Stock Company.
At the awards and closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Long Bon – Sonadezi’s Deputy CEO, Head of the Organizing Committee for the tournament shared that: “With strong support from the Corporation’s leaders and active participation of the subsidiaries, the mini football tournament on the occasion of Sonadezi’s 30th anniversary has been hosted successfully. This is a practical and meaningful activity to build a vibrant and healthy sports community for all employees at Sonadezi. This is an opportunity for employees to meet, connect and train physically and mentally, thus encouraging them to well perform their duties and developing their engagement with Sonadezi”.
