Established in 1990, Sonadezi is a pioneer and one of the leading enterprises in investment and business in infrastructure of industrial parks (IPs). After 30 years of developing and accompanying the transformation of the locality and the country, Sonadezi has now become a large corporation with 17 subsidiaries. So far, Sonadezi system has been investing in 11 industrial parks covering a total area of about 4,578ha. Sonadezi’s industrial parks have accommodated 803 projects (including 583 FDI projects and 220 DDI projects) with a total registered capital of more than USD 10 billion and VND 16,546 billion respectively, of which there are many high-tech projects of the world’s leading corporations such as: Fujitsu, Bosch, Shell, Atus, Hans Vina, 3M, Sony, Meggitt, Mabuchi, Kenda, Olympus with a total investment of about USD 1.5.

Sonadezi’s FDI partners are from 22 countries and territories, among which, Japanese clients are its top partners with 101 projects and USD 1.8 billion investment. From the success in investment and business in industrial parks, Sonadezi has created more than 200,000 direct jobs and millions of indirect jobs for employees.

Chau Duc Urban Industrial Park & Golf Course aims at creating a strategic investment point for domestic and foreign enterprises, and at the same time contributing to the development of the local economy.

Sharing experience in industrial park investment, Mr. Phan Dinh Tham, General Director of Sonadezi said: Sonadezi’s successes in industrial park development are firstly grounded by the vision that industrial parks must be sustainable, environmentally friendly and linked with local sustainable development. When commencing the industrial park, Sonadezi focused on the initial survey to choose a convenient location in terms of traffic connections, using labor resources, and having a suitable location to deploy environment protective technical infrastructure including: rainwater drainage system, centralized wastewater treatment system, solid waste storage area, automatic wastewater monitoring system and ensure that the operation of the industrial park has the least impact on the surrounding environment. Next, in planning and construction, Sonadezi closely cooperates with management agencies and infrastructure service providers to ensure that when the industrial park is completed, all services provided must be provided to customers. Sonadezi has always maintained its reputation by fulfilling its commitments to customers regarding its IP services and infrastructure.

Besides, another factor that helps Sonadezi succeed is listening and learning. During the past 30 years, Sonadezi has always listened to opinions from management agencies, the social community as well as investors to perfect the planning, construction, and services in the IP. From listening and learning, Sonadezi has captured the movements in investment trends and new needs of investors. For example, the need to rent land in industrial parks with ecosystems associated with industrial parks such as urban areas, residential areas, products – utility services, etc. Therefore, from the first IPs, it was merely an industrial zone, but in 2003, Sonadezi had the idea of forming a satellite town around the IP and implemented the first urban are-associated industry, Long Thanh Industrial Park, followed by Chau Duc Urban Industrial Park & Golf Course, Giang Dien Industrial Park – Urban Area.

Chau Duc Urban Industrial Park & Golf Course is one of the large complex industrial parks in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province and the southern region in general (scale of 2,287ha). With the orientation of attracting investment associated with environmental protection, Chau Duc Urban Industrial Park & Golf Course will invest in 3 centralized wastewater treatment plants with a total treatment capacity of about 45,000m3/day. Besides, Chau Duc Urban Industrial Park and Golf Course also minimize industries that can cause environmental pollution.

Currently, Chau Duc Urban Park & Golf Course has attracted more than 60 domestic and foreign secondary investors with an occupancy rate of about 35%. It is expected that Chau Duc Urban Industrial Park & Golf Course will attract large investment capital, creating a driving force for socio-economic development in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province as well as the southern key economic region.

Over the years, the Sonadezi system has developed on the basis of cohesion, unity and together creating an ecosystem including industrial parks, residential areas, urban areas, supporting services, constructing materials products, logistics, construction, clean water supply, human resource training, etc. Thereby, the system has created a favorable investment environment and full utility services to serve development investors. Sonadezi and its subsidiaries have invested in about 60 projects in 4 groups of fields including: industrial and civil real estate, construction and trading of building materials, support services, and water supply, with a total investment of about VND 29 trillion and nearly USD 35 million. In which, Sonadezi has spent more than VND 1,700 billion to invest in centralized wastewater treatment plants in Sonadezi’s industrial parks and 2 large-scale waste treatment projects.
