In the leased land area of about 60 hectares located in Chau Duc Industrial Zone, SH Solar Farm Vina Co., Ltd. invested VND 1,861.4 billion to deploy the Chau Duc Industrial Zone Solar Power Plant project with a capacity of 70MW.
SH Solar Farm Vina Co., Ltd is Halla E&C Co., Ltd’s subsidiary, having proven experience in developing solar power projects in Korea. Chau Duc Industrial Zone Solar Power Plant Project is the first project that Halla invests in Vietnam. The power generated by the solar plant will join the national grid to contribute to energy security in Vietnam and supply power to other industries in Ba Ria Vung Tau province.
There are many advantages that the project can enjoy. Among them are the compensation procedure for site clearance is finished, infrastructure is built completely and placed near the Chau Duc 110kV substation, power generated by the solar plant will be connected to the national grid in accordance with the methods approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
At the signing ceremony for the lease agreement, Mr. Kim Beom Heon – Chairman of Hala E&C Company said “First of all, I would like to thank the management board of Sonadezi Corporation and Sonadezi Chau Duc JSC for their support to Hala’s solar power plant project since the day we were awarded investment license. Hala started its business with solar power and currently, we have 4 solar power projects being carried out in Korea. We are in the first steps to expand our business in Vietnam’s market. So far, we have achieved great support from Sonadezi Corporation and Sonadezi Chau Duc JSC. We hope that Sonadezi Corporation and Sonadezi Chau Duc JSC will continue to favor us with their support till the completion of the project and in the future. Our company will make this solar power plant project to be a big and impressive one in Chau Duc Industrial Zone.”
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Phan Dinh Tham – CEO of Sonadezi Corporation sent his congratulation to the Board of Directors of Halla E&C Company, SH Solar Farm Vina Co., Ltd. and Sonadezi Chau Duc JSC. Mr. Phan Dinh Tham emphasized “The signing ceremony for the sublease of Chau Duc Industrial Zone today is the results of both parties’ efforts and localities’ support. In the next phase, Sonadezi Corporation and Sonadezi Chau Duc JSC will continue to support Hala to implement the project and soon to put the project into operation. I wish the success of the project and hope that the project will attract more Korean investors to Chau Duc Industrial Zone.”
SH Solar Farm Vina Co., Ltd. already finished its designs and is preparing required papers for the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s appraisal and approval. The project is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2018, come into operation in 2019 and generate 156.689 GWh per year.
