On April 16, the Sonadezi Corporation (Sonadezi, stock code: SNZ) successfully held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) for the year 2024.

Profit after tax in 2023 reached 129% of the year’s target
At the AGM, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Member of the BOD and CEO of Sonadezi, presented the consolidated business results for the fiscal year 2023, based on audited financial statements. Sonadezi achieved significant milestones, with total revenue, profit after tax, and tax payments amounting to nearly VND 5,766 billion, VND 1,398 billion, and VND 655 billion, respectively. These figures represent 97.01%, 129%, and 5.81% of the year’s targets. Additionally, the return on equity reached 16.9%, exceeding the target by 34.45%.

The parent company (SNZ) achieved total revenue of over VND 630 billion, with a profit after tax of about VND 451 billion, tax payments of over VND 61 billion, and a return on equity of 11.63%. These figures correspond to a range of 89% to 98.49% of the year’s targets.
In terms of investment and business activities, Sonadezi has made significant investments in various areas, including industrial land and rental workshops in industrial parks, residential areas, affordable housing projects, and the Chau Duc Golf Course. Sonadezi has also focused on developing port systems, upgrading clean water supply networks, and enhancing human resource training and environmental services.
In 2024, Sonadezi sets a target consolidated revenue of VND 6,366 billion, profit after tax of VND 1,370 billion, budget contribution of more than VND 651 billion, and return on equity of 15.27%.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Truong Thi Huong Binh – Director of the Department of Finance of Dong Nai province requested Sonadezi Corporation to well implement the 2024 production and business plan. In particular, it is necessary to focus on implementing the Corporation’s restructuring project for the period 2021 – 2025; continue to manage and operate Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, study and participate as an investor in implementing the project to convert the functions of Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park according to the orientation of the Provincial People’s Committee; Effectively exploit the land fund in Chau Duc Industrial Park, continue to research and develop Ninh Diem 3 Industrial Park (Khanh Hoa province). At the same time, research and develop new projects.
Changes in the Sonadezi BOD composition
Another agenda item at the meeting involves the appointment and removal of BOD members. Specifically, the AGM approved the removal of Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang and welcomed Mr. Truong Dinh Hiep as a new BOD member. Following this decision, the BOD convened a meeting where Mr. Truong Dinh Hiep was elected as the Chairman for the second term (2021-2026), effective from April 16, 2024.

On April 16, 2024, Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang was assigned new tasks and responsibilities by the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province. Specifically, at the Conference announcing the decision on personnel work organized by the Provincial People’s Committee on April 16 afternoon, the Acting Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee – Mr. Vo Tan Duc awarded the decision to appoint Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang – Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Business Sector to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Members’ Council of Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Dofico)
