The Corporation for Industrial Park Development (Sonadezi) has just celebrated its 35th anniversary (15/12/1990 – 15/12/2025). This marks a journey in which Sonadezi proudly accompanied the nation in the reform, integration, and transformation into a new era.
On December 15, 1990, Bien Hoa Industrial Park Development Company (now the Corporation for Industrial Park Development) was officially established with the mission of becoming the first enterprise to create the industrial park model nationwide.
35-year milestones of Sonadezi
As a pioneer and leader in Vietnam’s industrial park infrastructure sector, after 35 years, Sonadezi has successfully developed a large-scale industrial–urban–service ecosystem, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of Dong Nai province and many other localities.
The Sonadezi and its subsidiaries is providing products and services to more than 1,000 FDI and DDI enterprises and millions of residents. At the same time, Sonadezi creates hundreds of thousands of jobs and accompanies many community programs with a total budget of more than VND 10 billion each year.
On December 15, 2025, generations of leaders, representatives of capital stakes in member units, and Sonadezi employees had a warm and emotional reunion.
After 35 years, from its beginnings with only eight employees, Sonadezi is now home to nearly 3,700 staff members. From initial capital of just over VND 1 billion and revenue of more than VND 300 million, Sonadezi has become a corporation with a parent company and 17 subsidiaries, charter capital of VND 3,765 billion, annual revenue exceeding VND 6,000 billion, and total assets nearing VND 22,000 billion.
Celebrating the 35-year milestone and moving toward a new development phase
On December 15, 2025, at the 35th anniversary celebration, Sonadezi welcomed many generations of employees returning to reunite, reflect on, and honor a challenging yet proud 35-year journey.
Madame Chu Thi Thu – Former Chairwoman of Sonadezi’s Members’ Council – shared heartfelt memories and emotional stories from the early days, along with many remarkable milestones in Sonadezi’s formation and development. She encouraged Sonadezi employees to keep striving, uphold the corporation’s identity, position, and brand, and expressed hope that Sonadezi would maintain its leading role in Vietnam’s industrial park sector.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai – Party Secretary and General Director of Sonadezi – reviewed the corporation’s history and outstanding achievements over the past 35 years. He also announced Sonadezi’s plan: “Sonadezi will continue to maximize operational efficiency of existing projects, while researching and developing at least two more industrial parks and two residential areas in the 2026–2030 period. The entire system will enhance its capabilities to comprehensively develop the Sonadezi ecosystem in the new phase.”
At the celebration, Mr. Truong Dinh Hiep – Chairman of Sonadezi’s Board of Directors – expressed deep gratitude to generations of leaders, capital representatives at member units, and employees throughout the corporation’s development. He also thanked government authorities, investors, partners, and customers for their trust and support.
He stated: “Entering the 2026–2030 period, Sonadezi has identified key priorities such as developing industrial parks and infrastructure toward synchrony, modernity, and environmental friendliness; promoting digital transformation; improving governance capacity and operational efficiency; restructuring member enterprises toward streamlined, professional operations; and expanding selective cooperation and investment aligned with sustainable development goals and long-term local benefits.”
