On January 11, Sonadezi Corporation held a conference to review 2018 and set up plans in 2019. The conference welcomes the participation of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung – Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Sy Lam – Deputy Chief of Office of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Dinh Viet Tien – Deputy Director of Department of Finance and the leaders of Sonadezi Corporation and its subsidiaries and representatives of nearly 4,000 employees in the Corporation.
In 2018, thanks to the efforts of all employees, Sonadezi Corporation and its subsidiaries, affiliates operated effectively and exceeded the targets. The parent company had an excellent performance in leading, directing, supporting and promoting the development of subsidiaries.
At the Conference, Mr. Phan Dinh Tham – CEO of Sonadezi Corporation said in 2018, Sonadezi Corporation achieved about VND 4,245 billion in revenue, reaching 107.87% of the plan; VND 719 billion in profit after tax, reaching 108.8% of the plan; VND 420.5 billion in budget contribution, reaching 131.08% of the plan and 11.20% in return on equity, reaching 102.19% of the plan.
The Parent Company achieved a revenue of about VND 384 billion, profit after tax of about VND 290 billion, contributed VND 26.3 billion to the state budget, and reached a 7.67% return on equity.
Regarding industrial zone infrastructure, in 2018, Sonadezi attracted 52 projects (including 45 FDI projects and 07 DDI projects) with a total registered capital of nearly USD 285.8 million and VND 452.2 billion, respectively. To the end of 2018, 10 industrial zones managed by Sonadezi Corporation attracted 761 projects (including 549 FDI projects and 212 DDI projects) with a total registered capital of nearly USD 9.73 billion and VND 15,426 billion, respectively.
Sonadezi Corporation and its subsidiaries also retained VND 8.3 billion to sponsor and implement numerous charitable programs, including organizing the 10th “Hearts of Gold” program and launch a new program that is to provide financial assistance to poor patients at Dong Nai General Hospital.
Regarding the results achieved in 2018, Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang – Chairwoman of Sonadezi Corporation said “Sonadezi’s efforts in 2018 have been quantified by numbers. It can be said that the greatest benefits that Sonadezi received from the last year are the solidarity among the Corporation’s members, the assistance and joy shared among employees, the brand winning customer loyalty as well as the support of regulators, customers, partners, and shareholders. Sonadezi’s profits are also measured by the development of employees in terms of qualifications and experience. On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Board of Management, I would like to respectfully acknowledge the efforts and achievements of the Corporation and each subsidiary in 2018, especially the contribution of the employees and leaders to the Corporation”.
After listening to Sonadezi Corporation’s report, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung gave instructions and encourage Sonadezi’s employees “On behalf of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, I warmly congratulate and acknowledge the results achieved in 2018 by Sonadezi Corporation and its subsidiaries, especially in terms of budget contribution with an increase of 31% compared to 2017. Along with impressive business growth, Sonadezi also performed well on CSR by investing in socially significant projects and organizing plenty of charitable programs. In 2019, Sonadezi Corporation needs to maintain growth momentum and improve operational efficiency. The Parent Company must strive to increase profit margins and ensure dividend yield of about 10%. The Provincial People’s Committee always accompanies and supports the Sonadezi Corporation on its path to sustainable development, so Sonadezi Corporation, in turn, will make a great contribution to the overall development of Dong Nai province ”.
After Vice Chairman Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung gave his guidance, Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang said “Sonadezi Corporation would like to thank the guidance from Vice Chairman Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung. Sonadezi also would like to express deep gratitude to the support of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee and other regulatory agencies for Sonadezi in 2018.
Regarding the key task in 2019, Chairwoman Ms. Do Thi Thu Hang emphasized “Sonadezi Corporation will focus on implementing the state divestment in the Corporation and divestment of the Corporation in several subsidiaries. Sonadezi also focuses on improving product and service quality through investments, advanced technologies application in management and production activities; management quality improvement and human capital building. Regarding industrial zones, it is essential to attract quality investment in which hi-tech projects, environmentally friendly technologies, supporting industries, and green energy projects are given priority. Besides, Sonadezi needs to rapidly complete the project of restructuring the brand image of Sonadezi Corporation “.
In 2018, a large number of individuals and teams were awarded valuable prizes due to their practical contribution to the development of Sonadezi Corporation, including 02 individuals awarded provincial emulation soldiers, 04 teams awarded excellent provincial-level emulation flags, 37 teams awarded well-performed team, 04 teams and 31 individuals awarded certificates of merit, 02 individuals awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister and 01 team awarded the Government’s emulation flag.
At the Conference, Sonadezi Corporation also rewarded the group of representatives of Sonadezi’s capital in Dong Nai Port JSC, No. 2 Industrial and Urban Development JSC and Sonadezi Long Thanh JSC for their remarkable achievements in 2018.
