On January 21 and 22, 2022, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Sonadezi held the 4th Congress for the term 2022 – 2027.

The grassroots youth union of Sonadezi was selected by the Central Youth Union and the Youth Union of Dong Nai Province as the venue for the grassroots level Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress for the State-owned Enterprise Division of the Central Youth Union and the Youth Union of Dong Nai province.

Attendants at the Congress included: Tran Trong Dai – Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Central Youth Union; Nguyen Nhat Linh – Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the School and Youth Committee of the Central Youth Union, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Students’ Association; Bui Thi Bich Thuy – Deputy Head of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Department; Ho Hong Nguyen – Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union; Le Thi Ngoc Loan – Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Nai Enterprise Division; Bui Duc Trinh – Member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of Enterprise Division Dong Nai Province. On Sonadezi’s side, attendants included: Tran Thanh Hai – Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, CEO; Cao Minh Trung – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Huynh Tan Loc – Vice Chairman of the Trade Union; Dao Van Khoa – Chairman of the Veterans Association.

At the congress, the delegates heard a summary report on the results of Sonadezi’s youth movement and union work for the 2017-2022 term together with goals, tasks, solutions for union work and youth movement at Sonadezi for the term 2022 – 2027. Sonadezi’s grassroots union currently has 15 cells and 01 affiliate union with 805 members. With a can-do spirit and creativity, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Sonadezi has successfully completed and exceeded the targets set out at the 3rd Congress, term 2017 – 2022.

During the last term, the grassroots Youth Union of Sonadezi has oriented union members and young people to actively perform noble deeds, show benevolence, practice the ethical principle of gratitude, a cultured lifestyle, and be responsible to themselves, family and society, contributing to building the model of youth in the enterprise bloc in a new period.

At the same time, the grassroots Youth Union of Sonadezi focused on directing branches and joint branches to promote the implementation of the “Creative Youth” movement. In the past 5 years, the Branches and United branches have carried out more than 150 outstanding projects and initiatives for technical improvement and business improvement and have been rewarded at the grassroots and Corporation level.

The grassroots delegation of Sonadezi was awarded the emulation flag for the outstanding performance in the union work and youth movement by the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union for the Enterprise Division for the 2017-2022 term.

In particular, during Covid, all Sonadezi youth union members creatively and flexibly performed the dual tasks of controlling Covid and ensuring the size, progress and quality of Union activities. They always pioneered and took the lead in registering to implement the “3 on-site’s” plan and maintaining production and business activities, thereby contributing to completing and exceeding the Corporation’s business targets.

In addition, the Sonadezi’s grassroots youth union coordinated with the Corporation’s Office to organize 13 price-stabilizing points of sale and provided food for local people during the Covid time. It also provided more than 50 online learning devices for disadvantaged students and provided support to local, frontliners, field hospitals, isolation facilities, and medical centers with a total value of nearly VND 33 billion.

Also, in the 2017 – 2022 term, the grassroots youth union of Sonadezi organized 59 gratitude activities and 53 activities for social security. Some typical activities of these are: supporting families of 07 disadvantaged workers, taking care of 02 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the province, the program “Support for schooling” program.

The congress voted and adopted a Resolution

With the action slogan: Youths of Sonadezi “Pioneer – Set examples – Be Innovative”, the Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Sonadezi for the term of 2022 – 2027 set the goal of building a youth class of Sonadezi with revolutionary ideology, rich in patriotism, compassion, love, honesty, pioneering, exemplary, united; encouraging young people to emulate learning, work creatively, master modern science and technology; improve the operational efficiency of the Sonadezi’s grassroots youth union.

In the term 2022 – 2027, Sonadezi’s grassroots youth union will strive to achieve 11 fundamental targets such as: 100% of Branches and joint branches have at least 01 initiative for technical improvement, creative product or good business idea each year; introduce 160 elite union members to the Party committee, of which at least 105 elite union members can be admitted to the Party; 100% of Branches directly apply information technology in managing member records, etc.

Comrade Bui Duc Trinh – Secretary of the Youth Union for Enterprise Division of Dong Nai province gave a speech

Addressing the congress, Secretary of the Youth Union for the Enterprise Division of Dong Nai province Bui Duc Trinh recognized and praised the achievements of Sonadezi’s union work and youth movement. “ In the new term, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Youth Union of Sonadezi should pay special attention to building the role model of youth in the new period; promote the leading role of the grassroots Youth Union in launching movements, engaging a large number of young people, actively integrate into the international economy, promote the spirit of voluntariness, especially the voluntariness to build and defend the Fatherland and fight the Covid pandemic. With the current Covid situation, the new Executive Committee must be really proactive, grasp the situation, be creative and initiate methods to promote the application of information technology and social networks in Youth Union activities”, emphasized Comrade Bui Duc Trinh.

At the congress, Secretary of the Party Committee of Sonadezi Tran Thanh Hai hailed the propaganda, education, and movements of the Corporation’s grassroots Youth Union as demonstrating the will and determination of the Corporation’s youths: Disregard for difficulties and hardships, volunteer for the community, and be creative and applying science and technology to business. Mr. Tran Thanh Hai suggested: “In the term 2022 – 2027 , the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Youth Union of Sonadezi needs to focus on a number of issues such as: arouse the spirit of researching, proposing ideas and applying solutions in the Industry 4.0 era; proactively plan, train and foster Youth Union cadres to train, and select the elite, matured Youth Union cadres for Party and government posts .”

The Congress elected the 4th Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Sonadezi, term 2022 – 2027, including 15 members, and elected a delegation to attend the 5th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Nai province, the term 2022 – 2027 including 15 official delegates and 02 alternate delegates. Comrade Pham Ky Minh was directly elected by the Congress to be the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Sonadezi for the term 2022 – 2027.

At the Congress, the Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Sonadezi awarded youth works to Nhon Trach District Youth Union, Trang Bom District Youth Union (Dong Nai) and Tieu Can District Youth Union (Tra Vinh). Team and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2017-2022 term were also honored.
