On October 20, 2021, the extended Highway 319 and the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway was officially opened to traffic and ready toll collection.
This is known to be one of the first traffic projects in Dong Nai province to be put into operation after Dong Nai eases social distancing and gradually reopens socially and economically. The official opening of the extended Highway 319 and the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway is considered an important highlight, contributing to speeding up local economic recovery and development.

The BOT project for the extended Highway 319 and the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway has the BOT 319 Cuong Thuan CTI Joint Stock Company as the investor. Stakeholders in this project include Sonadezi Corporation and two subsidiaries which are D2D, Sonadezi An Binh Joint Stock Company (owning 30% of the charter capital of BOT 319 Cuong Thuan CTI Joint Stock Company).
At the opening ceremony of the extended Highway 319 and intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province Cao Tien Dung acknowledged the investor’s efforts and said that the project will effectively promote the direct connection of the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway with Highway 319, shortening the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai and Ba Ria – Vung Tau. At the same time, the project also shares traffic for the overloaded National Highway 51.

Mr. Cao Tien Dung emphasized: “The extended Highway 319 and the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway also creates an important premise that promotes economic and social development for Nhon Trach new urban area and Dong Nai province in general. This route also has great significance for the development of logistics in Dong Nai, shortening the travel time and reducing the costs of transporting goods for businesses. The route put into operation will create great opportunities for the Long Thanh and Nhon Trach areas.”
The extended Highway 319 officially opened to traffic
The extended Highway 319 and the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway has a total length of 9.46km, including the 2.39-kilometer-long and 16-meter-wide main route and branches which are over 7 kilometers long and 8 meters wide. The starting point of the project is at the Ben Cam junction and the end point is at the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway. Within the scope of the project, there are 4 newly built bridges, including the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway Overpass, the Dong Mon River Overpass, the Hang Dieu 1 Bridge and the Hang Dieu 2 Bridge. In addition, the project also has ancillary items including toll stations and operation building.
The intersection between the Extended Highway 319 and the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway
According to the investor, the project has a total investment of over VND 961 billion. Construction started in July 2017 and the project was completed, accepted and put into operation in September 2021. On October 13, 2021, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province officially issued Decision 4342/QD-UBND on the introduction of toll charges for vehicles for the Extended Highway 319 and the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway. Accordingly, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province allows investors to collect toll from 0:00 hour on October 20, 2021 to recover the project investment.
