On October 11 and 12, 2019, Sonadezi Corporation cooperated with the Institute for Natural Resource and Environmental Training (InNET) to organize a Training conference on natural resources and environment management (NRE) at Sonadezi Building.
Conference was attended by Mr. Dang Minh Duc – Director of Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Dong Nai province; leaders of Departments, Agencies under General Department of Environment and General Department of Land Administration; representatives of Natural Resources and Environment Division of Bien Hoa City and districts; and over 120 delegates being the major customers in Sonadezi’s Industrial Zones and the leaders and professional staff of Sonadezi Corporation.
This was the first Conference on training management of NRE for industrial zones in the Southern key economic region with the center being industrial zones in Dong Nai province, with the aim to contribute to sustainable economic development for the region.
Speaking in the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan, InNET Principal, said: “Contributing to the sustainable development of the key economic zone, Dong Nai is chosen by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment as the first province to organize the annual Training Conference on natural resources and environment for industrial zones. Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment aims to foster and update legal and professional knowledge on natural resources and environment to industrial zones and production facilities so that units can understand correctly, take right actions, operate effeciently in compliance with the law, assuring sustainable development in the region”.
Accordingly, the key contents of the Conference were to update legal knowledge, improve professional knowledge on natural resources and environment with in-depth topics on environmental management, land use of industrial zones namely: Policy and legal system on environmental management of industrial zones; Industrial Environmental Audit and Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001; Assessment of industrial environmental impacts and risks; Policy on industrial land use management; Planning, land allocation, land lease and land use purpose change.
Sharing about the cooperation with InNET in organizing the conference, Sonadezi Corporation’s leader said: “Sonadezi and most subsidiaries are doing business in industrial zone infrastructure and providing materials and construction works, as well as providing services to industrial zones and residential areas. It can be said that the production and business activities are associated with natural resources protection activities. Therefore, the Training Conference on natural resources and environment management today is a good opportunity for all Sonadezi managers and technical staff in order to update, exchange and improve legal knowledge and professional knowledge on reasonable management and exploitation of natural resources and environment, minimizing negative impacts on the environment in industrial zones, residential areas as well as production facilities. At the Conference, Leaders of Vietnam Environment Administration, General Department of Land Administration and InNET experts directly shared on in-depth topics, answered and exchanged with participants about specific issues in actual operation of the units.
